Bud rot is a disease that affects the smaller area of a palm tree. There are two primary fungi species called phytophthora palmivora and thielaviopsis paradoxa that cause bud rot. However, these fungi invade the heart of the palm tree and successfully form new buds.

Treatment

Basically, there is no cure for bud rot once a tree gets infected. But if you have recognized this disease in the beginning, you can spread fungicides; if not, you have to remove the tree.

4. Saddleback caterpillar
