TAG Heuer Carrera Mikrograph Anniversary Edition 1916-2016
TAG Heuer Carrera Mikrograph Anniversary Edition 1916-2016
Made in just 100 pieces, the TAG Heuer Carrera Mikrograph chronograph features a classic style,
a white lacquered dial, painted numbers and a design inspired by vintage sports chronometers. A Carrera-type case watch, supplied with a table stand or mounted on a dashboard, thus making it a timepiece and a timekeeping tool at the same time. The large spherical fluted crown at 12 o’clock, framed by the characteristic “mushroom” pushers, evokes the first Heuer chronographs.watch

the vintage Heuer logo and the words “Made in Switzerland” faithfully reproduce the configuration of the original model. Blued steel hands for chronograph indications, with drop-shaped counterweights on the second hand and arrow on the counter hands. Rounded leaf-shaped hour and minute hands typical of the 1920s, as far as the display is concerned. Functional but with an authentic retro charm. Let’s retrace the history of the Mikrograph.fake TAG Heuer
It all stems from a challenge launched by a visionary entrepreneur to his technical team.TAG Heuer Carrera Mikrograph Anniversary Edition 1916-2016
In 1914, Charles-Auguste, son of Edouard Heuer, asked his employees to design “a chronometer with an accuracy of 5 to 10 times greater than what exists today”. At that time, the race for precision in the sports timekeeping sector was fierce. A year later, the first prototype.best replica watches
The result exceeds expectations: an oscillation and escapement system
that beats at 360,000 vibrations / hour, that is the achievement of precision to 1 / 100th of a second. Meanwhile, Charles-Auguste Heuer calls for the development of 1 / 50th of a second – an accuracy already 5 to 10 times higher than the standard of the time. Thus in 1916 the Mikrograph, the Microsplit, the Semikrograph and the Semicrosplit were born, the first mechanical chronometers in the world with reading precision to 1/100 of a second and to 1/50 of a second.
These authentic revolutionary inventions allow Heuer to become the official supplier of chronographs
at the Olympic Games in Antwerp (1920), Paris (1924) and Amsterdam (1928). The TAG Heuer Carrera Mikrograph anniversary edition beats to the rhythm of an extraordinary in-house movement presented as a world premiere in 2011: the TAG Heuer Mikrograph 1/100 second caliber.
First mechanical chronograph with integrated column wheel indicating 1/100 of a second by means of a central hand. Subject of 11 patents, this caliber of 480 components integrates two mechanisms: one for the time and the other for the chronograph, each with its barrel and its transmission and escapement system.
The first, dedicated to the clock (hours, minutes, small seconds and date),
oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), with a power reserve of 42 hours. The second, with an autonomy of 90 minutes, controls the chronograph at 1 / 100th of a second. Thanks to a dynamic compensation system, it operates at a frequency of 360,000 vibrations per hour (50 Hz) with a dizzying rotation speed of one revolution per second. The independence of the “normal frequency” and “high frequency” kinematic chains guarantees unprecedented precision and timing because it eliminates any risk of interference from the chronograph on the regular running of the watch and reduces energy consumption.
In addition to exceptional chronometric performance,
this bi-directional self-winding caliber features the functions of hours, minutes, power reserve indication at 9 o’clock, date window at 4:30, central chronograph seconds hand with reading of the hundredth of a second, counter 30 chronograph minutes at 12 o’clock and seconds counter at 3 o’clock.
One movement, three supports of your choice.
Watch and chronograph at the same time, the TAG Heuer Carrera Mikrograph is modular: thanks to an ingenious bayonet fastening device, it fits into a TAG Heuer Carrera case, rests on a table stand or screws to the car dashboard. The spherical crown, positioned at 12 o’clock as in vintage watches, recharges both the watch and the chronograph. Visible on the back side, the oscillating weight only winds the barrel of the watch mechanism while the chronograph is manually wound. The movement with titanium carbide treatment and “Côtes de Genève” decorations can be admired through the sapphire caseback of the case which is water resistant to 100 meters.
The iconic Carrera lines extend to the perforated gray calfskin strap,
with deployant buckle, Heuer logo and safety button. A gray alcantara-coated ash box houses the watch, its two supports and a plaque with the inscription Mikrograph Heuer. All at a recommended retail price in my opinion very competitive: € 19,100.TAG Heuer Carrera Mikrograph Anniversary Edition 1916-2016
