Starting Your Own Business- Interview With Salvatore Virzi
You may not know it, but Italy is home to some of the world’s most innovative and successful entrepreneurs. One such entrepreneur is Salvatore Virzì-a man who knows a thing or two about starting an enterprise from scratch with nothing more than his wits, drive, passion for success—and enough grit to succeed in any situation!
I caught up with him recently as he share stories on how business consultants can be invaluable assets when running your own company. We discuss what makes one better than another: expertise versus motivation…insights vs optimism?
1. What motivated you to kickstart your entrepreneurial journey?
Growing up, I had always been an entrepreneur at heart. My family’s business taught me everything need to be successful in the corporate world: how important it is for one person (or even a group) with passion and drive to make change happen; realize your potential when given opportunities by those around you!
However, 25 years’ worth of experience working as both employee and entrepreneur made this journey into entrepreneurship look different than what most people assume.
Finally, after years of working as an employee before starting my own business, I realize that it was time for a change. There were many reasons why this decision was made.
2. What’s your long-term vision?
I always want to be an entrepreneur, but I never expect it would happen so quickly. My past jobs have prepare me well for this role – with different experiences and in various functions of working at companies large or small! As an entrepreneur, I want to create a sustainable business that creates a positive impact on society. The story of how this all came about has been anything but simple – it’s more like creating your own legend!
3. What’s the greatest lesson you have learned in your entrepreneurial journey?
Growing your business is about letting go of fear and not pursuing perfectionism. Learn to delegate, give up control- hire people with the same vision & goals but sufficient authority so that they can be creative without being micromanage! Give them space for growth by giving employees enough freedom in their work environment and providing adequate resources require per project/program.
4. What are the crucial factors that drive entrepreneurs on the path to success?
Entrepreneurs are always on the go. They have to manage their time wisely and motivate those around them while still producing high-quality. Work for themselves, or else it would be impossible to try to get anything done. It is vital for entrepreneurs to remember that the most successful ones are those. Who can balance their personal life with work.
It’s also necessary to increase your motivation levels by maintaining strong relationships and staying. Up-to-date on current trends within an industry or market you plan on operating so that it doesn’t. Become stagnant over time while others evolve around them. Outdate information will lead someone astray when making decisions resulting in miss opportunities.
5. In your opinion, how does social media help in business growth?
Building a successful business is not easy and requires commitment. Yet, one of the best ways to do it would be by using social media because this platform. Allows you to make your brand more visible while also building trust with customers. Who are uncertain about new brands or products they want to try out for themselves before making an investment in them.
6. What’s your advice for young entrepreneurs?
When you’re young and starting out, it can be hard to know what path will lead to your dreams. But don’t give up! Keep following your idea or passion – even if initially there seems no way for them in this world as we know it-and one day they’ll appear again with greater clarity than ever before. Be open-mind, try out different things to grow as an entrepreneur, and build up courage when challenges arise.’
