Gmail Not Receiving Emails? Here’s how to fix it
When it comes to comparing all the email service platforms Outlook, Rediffmail, Yahoo, and Gmail is now the most popular and widely used service by users. It proves to be reliable and the most stable email provider service but sometimes there are some technical bugs that your emails reach your inbox, this can be a minor disaster if you were about to receive a lucrative job offer.
So, I have prepared a list of troubleshooting ways that you can try to correct the error and make your family start working properly.
Important note:- There are many reasons why you are not able to revive emails in your Gmail inbox, as a quick solution try to find them in your spam folder, or else try to check the storage space available you might be running out of space and lastly, your inbox settings might have been being configured.
Check your spam folder:
There may have been a possibility that some word has been tricking Gmail to put that email into the spam folder or the user might be identified as a spam user all you have to do is to navigate to your spam folder and if you found the email, tap on ‘Report not spam and you will get the email back into your inbox.
Examine your trash can:
Whenever we are clearing up unwanted or unnecessary emails, it is quite common to delete another one adjacent to it with the flow by mistake, so try to search it in the trash or type in: trash < email keyword>.
Try to check if a filter is archiving the unread emails.
There are chances when setting a filter for any particular sender, you might have archived their email as well and so the email is there but not been shown in your inbox.
On the top left corner, click on the archive folder and get it back along with it try to amend the settings and remove the filter.
Check if you are running out of space on Gmail :
Google offers you only 15GB of free storage and that storage includes the data saved from Google Drive and Google Photos, unknowingly you might have filled the complete storage with some large attachments on your Gmail and it asks you to update your Gmail account storage again and again.
To check your storage status click on the ssidebar and the remaining storage will be displayed below every Google window.
If you have reached close to the limit, your Gmail might have been blocking the big emails from reaching your inbox and if you are reluctant to buy new storage try to delete some large unnecessary files to free up some space.
Check your IMAP/ POP settings :
Make sure to save them at the right location or switch it off in the settings.
Check to see if the Gmail mobile app is configured correctly:
If you are ooperating the same Gmail account on your PC and mobile, there’s a chance you are using it with different settings on the mobile version, edit it with the following steps:
- Click on your profile picture in the top right corner and select the ‘manage account button
- Log out or remove the account you are not receiving
- Now login to the app and enter your correct credentials.
Confirm that you have a stable internet connection:
If you are not able to receive emails on your Gmail account due to a poor wifi colour connection, fix this by switching off your router and turning it on to restore the connection and check you internet bandwidth it provides.
Check your internet speed on the ‘speedometer’.
Imp:- Also confirm whether or not your emails are getting forward to somewhere else.
We hope one of the above-mentioned ways will work out for you.
Good Day!
