How long does it take to get a BS English
To get a BS English it takes 4 years minimum. These 4 years add up to 8 semesters. This is 136 credits hours. Students who study a BS English are full time students for their undergraduate degree. Moreover, classes for these students will normally be during the weekday in the mornings. There are 4 compulsory courses that add up to 8 credit hours. These courses are Pakistan Studies and Islamic Ethical Principles. Furthermore, they also include Contemporary issues and Basic Teachings of the Quran. These courses will be given to the students in the first 4 semesters of school.
Students will take 9 general courses for 3 credits each over these semesters. This will expose them to a wide range of topics associated with their career. Along with the courses, students will also take 33 discipline-specific foundational courses totalling 99 credits. This will help them build a strong basis for the whole degree. The fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth semesters will be devoted to taking major courses that cover a variety of topics in linguistics, language instruction, and English literature. A further 2 courses may be taken by students in semesters 7 and 8.
