Brahmatal is not reached by road. The campsite is the only place to stay here. The tent can be transported by yourself or rented from a tour company. In a relaxed manner, you should cover the distance of 5 to 6 kilometers in 5 to 50 minutes.
Ideal time:
The months of January through May and October through December are the best times to take this trip. The average temperature for July is 12 to 13 degrees, with the highest temperature reaching 20 to 22 degrees. From the middle of December to the middle of March, snow can fall.
Day 1:
You must drive to Lohajung, the trek’s beginning point, from Rishikesh. The village got its name from a “war” or “Jung” between Goddess Parvati and the demon Lohsur. The district of Chamoli includes Lohajung. Rishikesh is 250 kilometers away from this place. Ten to eleven hours are required to travel from Rishikesh to Lohajung. Along the way, you can see the stunning Garhwal region, as well as the amazing confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers at Rudraprayag and Karnaprayag, where the Mandakini and Pindar rivers meet. Lohajung is in a high region. You must remain here once you reach this village. In this region, it is extremely chilly at night.
Day 2:
The journey of Brahma has begun on this first day. You should walk to the Bekaltal campsite on this day. Bekltal is six kilometers away from Lohajung. A walk through the woods is what this is. To begin, you must reach the village of Mandoli. You can see the Kali Valley here. The trail continues from there through the thick spruce, oak, and rhododendron forest. A two-hour walk will take you to the next location after this one. Begum can be reached by crossing the bridge from there. From there, it’s a 20-minute walk to Gujren. Here, you can camp. Bekaltal can be found a few kilometers away. You will notice that La table is 15 to 16 minutes away from the campsite once you arrive at the Bekaltal campsite. With oak trees, it’s a lovely lake. Organic matter has caused the water to take on a brown hue. You can partake in a superb nightfall at this spot. It is necessary to return to the campsite after taking it at the moment.
Day 3:
Walk 7 km to Brahmatal from Bekaltal.First, you reach Talind’s summit. The Brahmatal camp can be reached via the trail from this point.
In Bekaltal, you must start your day with a beautiful sunrise. To reach Brahmatal, this route gradually descends. Oak and rhododendron trees line the path. To reach the talent’s peak, you must walk there from here. Trishul and Nanda Ghunt are visible from this vantage point. You must drive to Jhandi Top from Talindi Top. The highest point is Jhan point. You must trek to the Brahmatal campsite from here. The campsite is 500 meters away from Brahmatal. At the lake, you can have fun. The nighttime temperature can drop as low as -8 degrees during the winter.
Day 4:
Today, we must begin with a difficult climb. You will arrive at Brahmatal Lake after a 20-minute walk. The lake’s beauty touches the heart. From here, you can also go to Kamet, Trishul, Neelkanth, Hathi Ghoda, and other places. You need to move to the Daldum campsite because Frem is here. You must stay at the campsite in Daldum.
Day 5:
Today, you must descend to Lohajung, which is 7700 feet above sea level. You must spend the night here.
Day 6:
Your trip will come to an end on this day. You’ll drive back to Rishikesh today. This is a 210-kilometer distance.
